Oh, I totally forgot about our Blog! Shall I catch up? Well, we now home school but that's a blog in itself. Coming Soon :) Jordan turned 14 this past December, Maddie will be 11 in August. Time Flies! Let me tell you about Christmas 2012. We just had the best Christmas. Our family gathering (my side) was at Heathers house this year. We had a huge turn out. It was great. The kids opened their presents and the adults (teenagers included)  played a hilarious game of dirty Santa. Yay! The food was delish :) There was so much food in that kitchen. Seriously, Heather has a BIG kitchen and I honestly don't think any counter space could be seen. Christmas Eve was our annual "Friends" party which was a hit. Christmas Day, after opening presents, we honored a new tradition. Our second year to have breakfast with the Adams'. Remembered Steve Adams aka Papa Bear as he was there with us the Christmas before. Jeff's Mom invited us to a nice Christmas Dinner followed by presents.
 Happy 14 Son!

 Our Teens
 Our Tweens
 Together
We kicked off our New Year running strong. No family is perfect so we have experienced some trials this year but here we sit happy and counting down the days until our Summer Break. Only 30 more days. Woo-hoo!

It's that time again!

Yep, It is definitely that time again. Monday kicked off a week long Pre-season tournament in our league. We (Sumiton Christian) played our first game Monday night against Sumiton and took the win 20-2. I was very proud of our team. Jordan has played ball since he was 3 years old. He started out in rag ball and has played every year. This year is his last year of park ball and we are soaking up every minute. Maybe I'm taking too many pictures or carrying on just a bit but we will never get this time back and it's so precious. Especially since he's enjoying the park he's playing at and the coaches he's playing for this year. To say that Jordans most horrific year of baseball was last year would be nothing short of an understatement. He loathed last year as did I and his Daddy. He went from playing with coaches who didn't seem to care to coaches who have already this year went above and beyond. Has our son been a phenomenol ball player all these years? NO, he hasn't. But if you ask him what makes a good ball player he will tell you one that plays with heart. Last year almost took the love of the game out of him but Glory be to God for leading us to a ball park with caring and patient coaches who not only welcomed Jordan in with open arms but has worked with him, let him know that he doesn't have to EARN a spot on the team because he's already a part of the team, and helped him to understand that you... "Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game."
